| Top 20 Calypsoes for 2010 |

The National Action Cultural Committee is pleased to announce the calypsoes which were selected to be among the Top 20 Calypsoes for 2010. These calypsoes will be awarded at a gala ceremony which will be held on Saturday 8th January, 2011, at the Cascadia Hotel, St. Ann’s. The calypsoes, in alphabetical order, along with the artistes who rendered them, are listed as follows: |

| The greatly anticipated season of parang is finally here with its beautiful music and all that revolves around it such as the wonderful festival events around the island, joyous dancing, tasty food and of course the homegrown liquor for the more daring. The Parang season of 2010 as well as the National Parang Festival was officially opened on October 9 in the Borough of Arima where thousands of people came out to celebrate by dancing the night away to the music. |

This year marks the 12th annual Eric Williams Memorial Collection Lecture series at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. The featured key note address: The Renaissance of Haiti: A Template for Caribbean Integration" will be delivered by the Hon. P.J. Patterson, ON, OCC, PC, QC.
