Several changes have been made amongst which are the return of the Medium Conventional Bands and Large Conventional Bands to the National Panorama Finals on Carnival Saturday night and Champs in Concert on the Saturday after Carnival. Both events are carded for the Queen’s Park Savannah.   

Small Conventional Bands and Single Pan Bands Finals will be staged at the South Quay Stands, Port of Spain, on Friday 12 February 2010.   Single Pan Bands in all regions will start the Panorama with the National Preliminaries commencing with South/Central on Friday 15 January on Coffee Street, San Fernando, culminating in Tobago on Monday 18 January.   East and Tobago Small and Medium steelbands will be judged at their panyards while South/Central and North Bands will play at Skinner Park, San Fernando and Lord Kitchener Stands, South Quay, Port of Spain, on Friday 22 January and Sunday 24 January 2010 respectively. 

Large Conventional Bands will not be judged in the Preliminary round, however, a panel of three (3) adjudicators will visit the participating bands at their panyards “to give the bands pointers on their performances”. 

The “Savannah Party” as the National Semi Finals is popularly called will feature Small, Medium and Large Conventional Bands on the “big stage” on Sunday 31st January 2010. Starting time is 9:00 am. 

Carnival 2010 will also see an admission fee of $60. & $80. to enter the “famous track” for both the National Semi Finals and the Finals on Sunday 31 January and Saturday 13 February 2010 respectively. Bleachers will be erected to accommodate patrons.
