Foundation logoThe WACK Foundation Ltd was founded to rekindle Pride in the Cultural History and Heritage of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. An undertaking in the making for the past two years has now come to fruition because of the dedication and hard work of the initial Foundation members. The WACK Foundation will not only serve the Southland, but Trinidad and Tobago as a whole.
Our first major project is to create a Calypso Archive and have it available online. This marks the first time such a database has been hosted and maintained by an organization in Trinidad and Tobago since the documented recording of 'Calypso' as we now know it, approximately 100 years ago. We could not have done this database so successfully without the assitance of Dmitri Subotsky, who created a similar database in the United Kingdom some years ago.

It is only fitting that this database is unveiled during October, Calypso History month in Trinidad & Tobago.
